Surah Ya Sin (Arabic: يس) is the 36th sura in the Qur'an. This sura consists of 83 verses, including the sura of Makkiyah and is revealed after surah Al-Jinn. It is named Ya Sin because it starts with the letter Ya Sin. As the meaning of the letters of the alphabet lies at the beginning of some of the Quranic letters, then the meaning of Ya Sin contained in this verse beginning of the Sura Allah indicates that after the letter will be presented important matters include: Allah swears with the Qur'an that Muhammad was truly an apostle whom He sent to a people who had never been sent to them apostles.
